Cicada Hunt!
It's morning, so Ethan and Aaron check their
jars. They find shed skins and dark-colored
adult cicadas.
The boys wait until the cicadas' new wings
are dry and stiff, and their new bodies are
well rested.

Then they throw the cicadas into the air and
watch them fly away!
The males join the buzzing chorus in our trees,
and the females look for males to mate with
and then for places to lay their eggs. If they
are successful, we'll find cicadas in our
neighborhood for years to come.
It's a beautiful morning. Ethan and Aaron
spend the rest of the day looking for more
bugs!
